Southeastern Reciprocal Membership Program (SERM) is a way for museums to offer their members an opportunity to visit participating museums in our Southeastern region. Reciprocity is for general admission only. For SEMC Institutional Members, there is not cost for museums to join the SERM Program and no renewal process. A participating museum membership card with “Southeastern Reciprocal” or acronym, “SERM” must be shown to receive admission.

**Upon presentation of your Institution's membership card, your members will receive:

  • Free admission during museum hours (museums may temporarily suspend the reciprocal program for special exhibits).
  • The same discount on purchases made in the gift shop of café as the host museum members.
  • The same discount on purchases made on the premises for concert and lecture tickets as the host museum members.

Reciprocal privileges do not include receiving mailings from any of the participating museums. In addition, please ensure your members are aware of the following policies:

  • The SERM list is subject to change without notice. (The list is updated quarterly)
  • Only museums holding a current SEMC Institutional membership are eligible to participate in the SERM program.
  • Museums have the option to temporarily suspend SERM privileges during special exhibitions.
Members should always call before visiting a participating museum to verify membership in the SERM program and to inquire about any special circumstances
