ASSOCIATION OF ACADEMIC MUSEUMS & GALLERIES (AAMG) (AG)

AAMG is a network of museums and galleries affiliated with academic institutions throughout North American. Organized in 1980, AAMG addresses the issues that are relevant and unique to college and university museums and galleries of all disciplines including art, history, natural history, and science. Issues include governance, ethics, education and exhibits, management, strategic planning, support, collections, and professional programs. The Association supports continued improvement of professional and ethical standards and practice through the AAMG newsletter, periodic surveys, national and regional conferences, and sessions at AAM and other professional organizations.
