The Launchpad is a collaborative professional development series created by the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries and the Southeastern Museums Conference.
Designed especially for emerging museum professionals, students, and those navigating career transitions, The Launchpad offers practical conversations, career guidance, and connection points for people building their path in the museum field.
Programs explore topics such as museum career pathways, transferable skills, organizational culture, leadership, resume development, and service on boards. Past sessions have included Landing the Job, Building a Team Culture, Navigating the Ecosystem of Museum Careers, and Landing a Board Seat: What It Really Means to Serve. SEMC and AAMG also offer a resume review in April connecting students and emerging professionals with those in the field to review resumes and offer guidance.
Through this partnership, SEMC is pleased to help connect members across the Southeast with accessible, relevant professional education opportunities that support growth at every stage of a museum career.
