    The National World War II Museum is currently seeking a Visitor Services Supervisor, Expressions of America. This position reports to the Visitor Services Manager. The Supervisor oversees the daily operations of all campus ticket POS stations. The Supervisor retains all the same responsibilities as Admissions Associates in addition to the added duties of the Supervisor. The Supervisor assists the Visitor Services Manager, the Assistant Director of Visitor Services, and the Director of Visitor Services with daily tasks and special projects. The Supervisor is one of the contacts for ticket equipment maintenance, Associate questions, and customer service issues. The Supervisor oversees the nighttime ticketing and visitor experience of Expressions of America (EOA).

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist and direct Admissions Associates
      • Provide support with ticket malfunctions and difficult customers
    • Assist with cash outs and deposits as needed
    • Train other Admissions Associates as necessary
    • Assist with the greeting and checking in of groups
    • Assist with 10-minute breaks and lunches for other Associates
    • Count bank and make changes throughout day as needed
    • Assist with the greeting and checking in of groups
    • Arrive early to setup stanchions or assist in early or late projects as needed
    • Notify the Manager and Assistant Director of Visitor Services of immediate and/or general customer service, security, or safety issues
    • Help sell tickets, cash out drawers, & make change orders. Account for and balance receipts at the end of the shift
    • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by the Visitor Service Manager and Assistant Director of Visitor Services
    • Work closely with Membership and Volunteer Departments
    • Transport stock and supplies around museum campus and keep track of storage/inventory
    • Assist MOD in their duties as necessary, including managing the floor when the MOD is unavailable & opening/closing the ticket desk
    • Manage Ticketing Operations of EOA
    • Ensure EOA Ticketing Operations run smoothly and assist with crowd control
    • Work closely with other departments such as Specialty Sales, Security, Retail and Audio Visual
    • Make customer service decisions regarding refunds & rainchecks for EOA
    • Communicate with Director of Visitor Services of potential weather delays/cancelations.
    • Ensure seating venue for dinner is ready before nighttime opening
    • Phone coverage. Mainly Saturday before EOA responsibilities.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience working with the public, especially in customer service
    • Positive attitude and enthusiastic demeanor
    • Comfortable working within a team, as well as for extended periods independently
    • Initiative, organizational skills and good judgment
    • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
    • Holiday, weekend and night work required
    • Willingness to work overtime during special events or heavy visitation periods.
    • Ability to take a leadership role among peers
    • Flexibility with daily tasks and responsibilities dependent upon daily staff and events
    • Physical ability to move boxes, stanchions, and other large objects on a daily basis
    • Experience balancing daily receipts and familiarity with ticket sales software programs
