    Cortina Productions is seeking a Digital Project Manager (DPM) to manage the development and production of museum-based media, such as films and digital interactive exhibitions. This is an immediate need to join an existing team, for a project that is local to the Washington D.C. area.

    The DPM will be responsible for developing and executing project plans, overseeing and managing the project schedule (internally), managing the project budget, and managing the project scope and client expectations. The DPM will work with an in-house multi-disciplinary team of producers/content developers, designers, software developers, and editors to keep teams on track and deliver high-quality media exhibits for museums. The individual should be comfortable working both independently and within a larger team environment, solution-oriented, highly organized, and sharply focused with a keen eye for detail.

    Work hours are to occur within standard business hours. Must be willing/able to travel as required. Candidates are required to be local (within 60 miles of the office in McLean, VA), working remotely from their home office, but able to come into the office as the project requires.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Budget Management: Manage the project budget by ensuring project work plan is on budget, propose creative solutions to identify cost saving measures, attend monthly budget meetings with Business Manager and Director of Production to flag issues or concerns.
    • Schedule Management: Create project plans and manage the project schedule, communicating any changes externally to the client, vendors, and partners and internally to department directors.
    • Resource Management: Collaborates with department directors to identify and manage project resource needs (editors, animators, designers, developers), flag when additional resources are needed, consult with Producers/Directors to assess what type of resources are needed. Create vendor paperwork working with the Business Office to contract freelancers as needed.
    • Scope Management: Understand the scope of the project and help determine project needs and requirements working with producers and department directors. Able to identify scope changes and create change order documentation.
    • Client Management: Clearly communicate to the client, run weekly/biweekly client meetings, manage project scope, and communicate any changes to the Business Manager/Director of Production.
    • Communication: Make sound decisions, think strategically, focus on detail, problem solve, multi-task, and have an excellent memory. Must possess exceptional organization, time management, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • 4+ years of demonstrated experience project managing digital media, such as films, interactive software for kiosks, websites, mobile applications, gesture, or augmented reality experiences
    • Demonstrated skills in managing complex digital projects from concept to completion
    • Experience managing multiple projects and simultaneous deadlines
    • Experience creating defining project scope, creating project plans, and implementing them from concept to completion
    • Experience managing project budgets
    • Experience with strategic thinking and creative problem solving
    • Exceptional written and verbal skills
    • Experience with project management tools
    • Love of museums

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Salary commensurate with experience. Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 per year
