Digital Communications Coordinator
Summary/Objective
The Digital Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of digital communications to enhance Longue Vue’s online presence and engage effectively with our audience.
The Digital Communications Coordinator reports to the Director of Outreach & Communications. This position also works in collaboration with staff and partners from diverse backgrounds and beliefs to preserve, maintain, and advance the historical, cultural, and social integrity of Longue Vue. Physical Work Environment
This job operates in a mostly indoor environment, with some outdoor requirements. This job also uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Essential Functions – The list of specific duties may evolve:
Website Updates:
Regularly update and maintain content on LV website to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Implement website changes in accordance with organizational goals and guidelines.
Email Management:
Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the designated "info" email box promptly.
Provide informative and timely responses to address queries and/or forward to appropriate handler.
Collateral Updates:
Update and create promotional materials, including flyers and other collateral, to support marketing and communication initiatives.
Newsletter Creation:
Curate and assemble content for monthly newsletters, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and aligned with organizational messaging.
Maintain up-to-date email distribution list in Robly.
Event Promotion:
Circulate information about organizational events on various free calendar websites to maximize visibility and attendance.
Social Media Engagement:
Respond to comments and messages on social media platforms, fostering positive interactions with the audience.
Monitor social media channels for inquiries and feedback- provide appropriate responses.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with Director of Outreach and Communications and all cross-functioning departments to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Preferred Education and certification
•Prior communications/marketing experience desirable

Required Education and Experience
High school degree or equivalent
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a 5-day schedule with the availability to work some evenings and weekend events. There are 35 hours of scheduled work time per week, not including unpaid lunch breaks. This is in order to allow for 5 hours of “flex” time as needed without regularly exceeding 40 total hours. This being said, the position is exempt from overtime pay and in some instances hours worked may exceed 40 hours. Compensation
Starting salary, $37,500 annually. Full benefits include health, vision, dental, and other insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer contribution, vacation, and PTO.
Travel
This position requires some limited travel for outreach, continuing education and other tasks as needed.
Sustainability
As a part of Longue Vue’s commitment to land stewardship, single-use plastic and leaf blowers are prohibited onsite. The Gardeners practice all-natural gardening and the Facilities Department uses all-natural cleaning agents wherever possible.
