Location: Orange County Regional History Center
Overview: The Orange County Regional History Center is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer. The History Center is a national multi-award-winning, AAM accredited, and Smithsonian affiliated institution centered around its mission: to serve as the gateway for community engagement, education, and inspiration by preserving and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding story.
Working as a strategic thought partner to the Executive Director, this position performs high-level management and supervision for the oversight of museum operations, information technology, security and facilities, and earned revenue departments, ensuring that all policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Executive Director.
Selected applicant will be subject to a background screening and fingerprinting and must have favorable results in order to obtain employment. Interview and relocation assistance are not offered.
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
Schedule: Generally, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends may be required for programming, events, or emergencies.

Salary: $31.18 - $48.60/hour
*Potential salary exceeding the minimum is evaluated by Human Resources and the Department Director
