    Position Title: Museum Sales and Service Coordinator
    FLSA Classification: Full-time, exempt.
    The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Sales and Guests Relations

    The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has an opening for a full-time exempt Museum Sales and Service Coordinator in the Museum Sales Department.

    Company Overview: The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks to collect, preserve, and interpret the evolving history and traditions of country music. Through exhibits, publications, and educational programs, the museum teaches its diverse audiences about the enduring beauty and cultural importance of country music.

    Departmental Overview: The Museum Sales and Service Department creates products to attract new audiences and inspire loyalty, through engaging interaction and effective, educational communication while providing vital revenue for the Museum. Through B2B and B2C relationships, the department is responsible for admission and group product revenue lines at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, RCA Studio B, and Hatch Show Print.

    Job Overview: The Museum Sales Coordinator role is to support the sales and promotions efforts of the Museum Sales team by coordinating sales-related activities and aggressively up-selling museum group offerings to incoming calls. The Museum Sales Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining relationships with repeat clients. A flexible schedule, including weekends, is essential.

    Specific Job Duties:

    • Process reservations for all group products/packages.

    • Help facilitate and manage Historic RCA Studio B group and museum Songwriter Program reservation calendar, and EMS Reservations Systems.

    • Support Museum Sales Manager(s) by fulfilling brochure requests, following up on sales leads from Group and Travel Industry markets, assembling sales kits and miscellaneous correspondence via phone, fax and email.

    •  Process and assemble mass mailings and other projects as needed.

    • Service all group bookings to include faxing/mailing contracts and confirmations, guidelines and need to know information, confirm changes and attendance, and process payments.

    • Aggressively up-sell audio tour, Historic RCA Studio B, songwriter programs, Hatch Show Print, group meals, and group performance opportunities.

    • Assist with and facilitate reports and schedules on a weekly basis.

    • Service group songwriter sessions, conduct guided tours of Historic RCA Studio B and Studio B Recording Packages, coordinate and schedule school group performances.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • College Degree or Equivalent Experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry, fluent in a second language, familiarity with Nashville, TN and knowledge of Country Music past and present are highly desirable skills for this position.

    Essential Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and abilities needed for success in the position):

    Candidates must have outstanding communication skills and proper phone etiquette. Must possess quality customer service skills while being sales minded with a can do attitude. A sales background is essential. General computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Tessitura reservation systems and Event Management Systems (EMS) software is required. Candidates must have exemplary organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints while meeting multiple deadlines. Flexible schedule to include working weekends is required. Must have own transportation to drive to and from Historic RCA Studio B. Public speaking is required.
