The SEMC 2022 Annual Meeting in Northwest Arkansas has been purposefully designed to offer a balanced program of sessions, workshops, and networking events that will provide professional development and opportunities to help your institution meet the moment and offer pathways to move a museum career forward. This year, sessions will focus on contemporary leadership practices centered on equity, current fundraising strategies, community engagement and the power of partnerships, ethical interpretation of collections and historic sites, managing collections under changing circumstances, curatorial trends in acquiring and sharing collections, job transitions, emerging technologies, and the many ways southeast museums are embedding principles of diversity, accessibility, and inclusion across all departments of an organization. SEMC is excited to welcome the membership to Northwest Arkansas to share creative ideas, success stories, (and the occasional missteps), explore new directions and evolving trends in museums, and network with the most congenial and supportive group of museum professionals in the nation!
