State of the Art 2020 is an exploration into how contemporary art—produced by artists working all across the United States—reflects the present moment.
Because of its size, we have divided it into three different exhibitions of approximately 5,000 – 8,000 square feet each, called State of the Art 2020: Locate; State of the Art 2020: Record; and State of the Art 2020: Constructs.
As museums struggle with the impacts of COVID-19, we are pleased to waive the $45,000 exhibition fee and to announce that museums with budget sizes of approximately $5M or lower may apply to Art Bridges for generous funding to offset shared and local costs. See: https://artbridgesfoundation.org/exhibitions/marketplace/
Shared costs are estimated to be $62,000 - $78,000 depending on which of the 3 checklists is selected (local costs will include some artist travel costs for a handful of site-specific and installation works, and we can provide all the details).
