    The Exhibits Branch is one of three branches within the Interpretive and Training Services Section of the Division of State Historic Sites. This branch coordinates all design and exhibit production for 25 state historic sites.

    Description of Work:
    • Assist in the production of interactive exhibit components.
    • Provide A/V, photography, and technical services to 25 Historic Sites.
    • Maintain web and social media presence for the Division.
    • Operate photo and video cameras.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Some nights and weekend work.
    • Some travel is required.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

    1. Experience with development of audio-visual programming.
    2. Demonstrated experience with various types of computer and electronic equipment.
    3. Must have experience operating various types of audio equipment (PA systems, etc.).
    4. Demonstrated experience operating photo and video cameras.
    5. Must have experience with photo and video editing software.
    6. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods.
    7. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
    8. Must be able to work inside and outdoors in various weather conditions.
    9. Must have a valid NC Driver's License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
    10. Must be able to travel and work some nights and weekends.
    Management Preferences:
     
    1. Experience with interactive technologies and digital signage (IE: BrightSign).
    2. Experience in coding and application development.
    3. Experience with website maintenance (Drupal platform).
    4. Experience producing short films.
    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

    Associate's degree in media production, photography or commercial art from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in audiovisual equipment operation, graphic design, and photography

    or

    an equivalent combination of education and experience
