SEMC Salary & Benefits Survey

We are always working on more benefits for SEMC members.  SEMC is conducting a regional Salary & Benefits Survey that will be compiled into a National Survey Report. The Salary & Benefits Survey is used by museums all over the region and throughout the country. Survey Participants will receive a complimentary Salary Survey ($60 value).  By completing this survey, you assist your colleagues with this tremendous service to the museum field. Follow the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/semcsalarysurvey to participate. We encourage you to complete the survey by June 30th .
SEMC aggregates your information with that of your colleagues, then presents it in an easy to read format that tracks by size and type of institution. You can be assured that your museum's specific data is always kept confidential. If you are an all-volunteer organization, we would still like you to answer a few brief introductory questions on the survey to let us know about your institution.

To Complete the Survey:
  1. Please complete all sections, following the instructions for each section.
    • The first three sections refer to employment practices for salaried or other regular professional employees, both full and part time. 
    • Section 4 covers regular hourly paid employees, such as guards, store clerks, and museum teachers.
  2. You may download the pdf document to scan the entire survey before completing it. Then you will know the best category for a particular position at your museum.
