  25th Annual SEMC Publication Competition
  

  
  The SEMC Publication Design Competition began in 1988 to recognize and reward excellence in graphic design in southeastern museum publications. The competition encourages communication, effective design, creativity and pride of work, and recognition of institutional image and identity. Winning entries will be displayed at SEMC’s 2013 Annual Meeting in Savannah, GA (October 7 - 9, 2013) and featured on the SEMC website.
  
  ENTRY RULES:
  
  a) Entries must have been published between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
  b) Open to SEMC active institutional and/or corporate members. Please verify Membership status.
  c) Up to 3 entries may be submitted in any one category (24 entries maximum)
  d) Deadline for submissions is a postmark deadline of August 9, 2013.
  
  An entry fee of $15 to cover administrative costs must be paid for all each entry. PAYMENT MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE!!! Go to SEMCdirect.net, Calendar and select Annual Meeting 2013 Publication Competitions Fee Payment Only. Or, mailed separately with copy of your submission confirmation email to: SEMC, PO Box 550746, Atlanta, GA 30355.

  Entry Rules:
  a) The exhibition must have been open to the public at the host institution during fiscal year July 1, 2012- June 30, 2013.
  b) Exhibitions eligible to enter in more than one fiscal year may enter only once.
  c) The museum must be a current SEMC institutional member or have a staff member who is a current SEMC individual member.
  d) Consultants may not submit applications on behalf of the host museum.
  e) Entries are limited to two per institution, and are non-returnable.
  f) Deadline for submissions is a postmark deadline of August 9, 2013.

  Stroll through history and explore the celebrated Art and Commerce in the History City of the Georgia coast at SEMC 2013 Annual Meeting!  Savannah is a walker’s paradise, with its squares filled with historic houses, churches, and monuments.  Art lovers will hardly know where to begin; the Telfair Academy houses nineteenth- and twentieth-century American and European art, including fine examples of American Impressionism and Ashcan School Realism, while the Jepson Center is home to works by some of the most pivotal artists of the past fifty years.  The SCAD Museum of Art is a contemporary art and design museum housed in an 1856 Greek Revival structure that was once the headquarters of the Central of Georgia Railway.
